A product requirement in Italian households, this half (mezza) moon (luna) knife is very handy for chopping,
especially the small stuff, like onions, parsley, etc.
Used on a cutting board or in a wooden bowl, it emulates the rocking motion of a chef knife.

It sometimes takes a little practice to coordinate a good rocking motion.

The double-handled mezzalunas are usually used on a cutting board (see also product 8805-200),
while the single handled ones are most often used in a wood bowl, which helps to contain the small stuff.
